Document Description: | TheWestern Climate Initiative (WCI) Partner jurisdictions have released a “WCIRegional Emissions Database Options White Paper.” The Regional EmissionsDatabase (RED) will consist of a system of database components developed by TheClimate Registry (The Registry) for collecting, transferring, storing andanalyzing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data from facilities and entities inWCI states and provinces. The white paper explores numerous options formanaging data and designing database functions, including options for achievingthe maximum possible level of consistency and integration with federal GHGreporting programs. After considering public comment, the WCI will provide TheRegistry with guidance and direction on how it should proceed in definingdetailed specifications and requirements for the RED.
